MSP wins 10 awards at the AAAS 2021 Virtual Conference!
10 UC Irvine undergraduates participating in the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences Minority Science Programs (MSP) received awards for their research presentations at the 2021 Virtual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS). The AAAS is the world’s largest general scientific society. The research competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students from domestic and international institutions. Their awards will be recognized in the April issue of the Science magazine and on the AAAS website. The AAAS Student E-poster competition recognizes the individual efforts of students who are actively working toward an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral-level degree. The winners’ presentations displayed originality and understanding that set them apart from their peers.
MSP undergraduates are participating in research training grants funded by the National Institutes of Health to prepare them to pursue Ph.D. degrees and careers in biomedical research.
